TUBA digital presents our fourth release with a
powerful and sophisticated debut EP from
Californiaʼs Subtle Mind.

This production duo represents the epitome of
musicality in the bass music world. The Gravitate
EP is a collection of tracks that transcend and defy
the double drop clichés and EDM build ups of
todayʼs mainstream dance culture. Each piece on
the EP represents a dimension of the producersʼ
deep, mature sound.

Gravitate opens with rolling percussion and drops
with a bouncing sub bass line. It sets the stage for
the driving yet musical direction the EP embodies.
From the slow jungle, introspective vibe of Inner
Self to the colorful melodicism of Shokunin, Subtle
Mindʼs sound spans a universe of influences.

Subtle Mind
Subtle Mind aka Austin and Paul hail from the San
Francisco Bay Area in Northern California. This duo
has set out to bridge the gap between harmonic
/melodic driven music and the percussive, bass
heavy sounds of Reggae and Dub.

They have released music on compilations through
Nauseous Vibez and Lutetia Dubz, and have gained
support from the likes of Joe Nice, Crises, Bakir,
Gantz, and DJ Chefal

TUBA is an artist-run vinyl imprint based in Brooklyn, specializing in forward-thinking bass music. TUBA pushes new releases from the finest producers on the contemporary bass music scene.
